However, when these "magicians" malfunctioned and needed repair, they encountered unprecedented embarrassment and helplessness.

Faced with the arrogance and harsh conditions of foreign manufacturers, and even the humiliation of being isolated by fences and forbidden from watching during repairs, a burning fire ignited in the heart of Chairman Yu Yaoguo. He deeply realized that technological dependence on others not only restricted the development of enterprises but also cast a shadow on the dignity of the nation. At that moment, a firm belief took root in his heart: "To make pick-and-place machines that truly belong to the Chinese people."

Under his leadership, a team of like-minded people gradually grew. They faced difficulties together and shared the joy of success. After continuous research and development and verification, the first independently developed photoelectric pick-and-place machine was finally launched in 2011. This pick-and-place machine, which embodies the hard work and sweat of countless people, not only caused a sensation in the photoelectric industry but also showcased the strength and style of Chinese manufacturing on the international stage. ETONG Company was officially established on November 11 of the same year.

ETONG did not stagnate on the glorious achievements of photoelectric pick-and-place machines. Chairman Yu Yaoguo resolutely decided to invest most of the profits from photoelectric pick-and-place machines into the research and development of general-purpose pick-and-place machines. After continuous research, testing, and verification, in 2013, ETONG successfully launched its first generation of independently developed general-purpose pick-and-place machines and quickly put them on the market, winning widespread market recognition.

In 2014, ETONG successfully obtained the certification of "National High-tech Enterprise." In the same year, the company's second-generation general-purpose machine also made significant progress and was successfully launched onto the market.

In 2016, ETONG successfully released the fourth-generation general-purpose machine and achieved major breakthroughs in several core technologies, making product performance almost comparable to imported equipment. In addition, the company's third-generation feeder was successfully developed, and when used with the host machine, it significantly improved work efficiency.

In 2018, the company's products have successfully covered more than 30 countries. The launch of ETONG's sixth-generation general-purpose pick-and-place machine and the new magnetic levitation general-purpose SMT pick-and-place machine marked the first successful application of magnetic levitation technology in the SMT equipment field in China.

Chairman Yu Yaoguo knows that only by firmly grasping technology in one's own hands can one have the initiative. In 2020, the eighth-generation general-purpose machine was also launched and sold, and the ETONG Jiangxi Smart Park was completed and put into use. ETONG Group's self-built 52,000㎡ industrial park is equipped with advanced equipment, independently opening up the complete industrial chain from mechanical rough machining to precision parts manufacturing. Now, the self-sufficiency rate of ETONG pick-and-place machines has reached 98%.

In 2022, ETONG grandly launched the 10th generation of general-purpose pick-and-place machines, which have been officially launched. At the same time, the YT Honor series of high-end general-purpose machines has also been launched, and its performance is comparable to that of internationally imported high-end equipment. This marks that ETONG has established a leading position comparable to international brands in the high-end SMT equipment field, becoming a leader in the domestic market.

On May 11, 2023, ETONG officially released the 12th generation Honor series high-speed general-purpose SMT pick-and-place machine, which is not only the best interpretation of the efforts over the past ten years but also another milestone for ETONG.

Standing at a new starting point, Chairman Yu Yaoguo and his team have not slackened off in the slightest. They know that future competition will be even more intense, but ETONG is ready. With the care and support of the Party and the state, on April 6 this year, ETONG made its first appearance on CCTV, the first national enterprise in the industry to appear on CCTV, and on May 11, the ETONG Honor series "speed king" YT40S was also launched and sold.

Today, domestic pick-and-place machines are no longer the "latecomers" that were once looked down upon, but have become an indispensable force in the global SMT field.
